Sometimes less is more
I had the logitech pro for over a year, great base. Recently found myself wanting more power so decided to sell the logitech and upgrade to simagic alpha U during their black friday sales.
Even with the 23nm tourque, I was disappointed with Simagic’s FFB (maybe I just couldn’t find the right settings for me). I actually preferred the logitech pro’s FFB even with the lower tourque. The simagic wheels are great though.
After all these upgrades, and (over time) adding button boxes, shifters, handbrake and haptics, I realized I dont even use any of these accessories so I got rid of everything again and finally settled on the simcube sport (microcenter bundle, even came out cheaper than the alpha U).
Now I’m finally satisfied and have been putting a lot more hours into it. I realized all I really want and actually use, is a 15nm+ base with great FFB, two consistent loadcell pedals, one GT wheel, and one buttkicker. I pretty much only race GT cars in ACC/iracing, and I like the cleaner look of the rig.
The only accessory I kept and really enjoy is the single BST-300ex I have as a buttkicker under the seat.
