DS216js doesn't allow dockers to run and is slow, should I upgrade?

I have had a DS216js NAS for over 6 years. It has been working great but I can see that is kind of slow. I have the latest DSM 7 version. Also I know there are some apps that can be installed easly with docker but it's not supported.

Should I upgrade to a non ARM cpu base NAS, such as DS224+ or DS723+ or DS923+?

Any advice is recommended.
