Local Store Stopped Selling Whole Cabbage?

Hi,

I noticed when shopping today that on the shelf that typically has iceberg lettuce and whole green cabbage, the label for cabbage was gone and it was indeed only iceberg lettuce. I sort of assumed cabbage might just be out of stock or something, (although the lack of label would be odd) but I checked the website for the store near me later and indeed, there was no listing for whole green cabbage. Is it usually only sold seasonally at Trader Joe's? I'm sort of scratching my head at whole green cabbage being an item you'd stop restocking seasonally vs. berries that have to have loads thrown out weekly. Is this happening anywhere else? I live in Chicago.
