Spouse visa renewal - questions

My spouse visa was approved last year so I still have another year to go before we have to reapply for renewal. I have a few questions in regards to the renewal however as I want the process to (hopefully) be as stress free as possible

For income requirements, will they consider both of our incomes? My husband is self employed and thankfully I was able to find a full time job just two months after my approval.

Along with this, our solicitor told us that because the visa was approved before the financial requirement increases, we would be required to still meet 18,600 a year for renewal. Would this be true or would it be a higher requirement?

And lastly, I’ve been told that for renewals they can be more strict with proving the relationship and it being genuine. I’m not sure how else to prove that my husband and I have a genuine relationship as our bills are both in our names, along with animals, nhs appointments, etc. Another concern I have is that we both did not want to take each others last name, and have decided not to hyphenate them as it would be very long. But if this is required we will do it as we don’t want to risk separation.
