Had a little oopsie after the jaguar was pretty much fully assembled already. I couldn't 100% fix it, but it looks a lot better now

Here's a little trick from the autobody world to help get rid of accidental glue spots on paint. get a fresh blade and LIGHTLY slide it over the glue trying not to touch the paint. I scraped it down and now it's flat enough to give it a quick sand and buff. It's how we take care of dust and runs

Don't you just love it when you can smell the vehicle you're going to work on before you even get into it?

Getting the XJS ready for it's final bit of paint before assembly, hoping to have time to put it all together this weekend

Anyone else have a few projects stuck at like 95% complete? The bmw is only waiting for bumper grille decals from sts, the banshee is waiting for reproduction decals from sts so I can clear it and assemble, and the 300c is waiting for me to actually buy plastic sheet to make clear taillight lenses

Working on the V12 engine for the jaaaaag, and figured out what to do with the first hellcat I printed for the 300c that was too small

Even at a bodyshop, sometimes you get tow-ins that you can't quite understand how it managed to happen. Whatever hit it/it hit barely damaged the rear door, left a few marks on the wheel, and completely tore off part of the rear

The UV light method to restore yellow decals really works! It almost completely solved the slight yellowing on the tamiya avex nsx decals. Thanks to u/weak_while_you_sleep for mentioning it!

Super happy that I snagged these today! Anyone have a lead on where to get the SK decals replacement decal set for the nsx? The ones in the kit are slightly yellowed and I'd love to find replacements

It's still not exactly the right size, but im going to keep this one in it. It looks so much better than the hellkitten I accidentally built the first time

1:25 scale dodge hellcat engine, original files by Motabas on cults3d. I modified and combined some parts to support printing at this small size

Alright, try #2 for the 300c hellcat engine. The 1:24 one I made for a different build was just a little too big, so I put it to 90% of the 1:24 scale size, and shortened it front to back about 3mm. Let's see how this one turns out

Really not happy with the size of the hellcat engine, so I'm tearing it out and re-sizing it. I measured the length of the engine block that came with the kit and sized it off of that since it should be the same block, but I see now that the kit engine isn't realistically proportioned

The Hasegawa mirror finish decal is awesome, I'd highly recommend using it! It works kinda like a small scale vinyl wrap, it's very thin but it stretches to a reasonable degree to wrap around corners and lay flat
